Dear Parents and Students!

Metropolitan Ballet Academy is thrilled to announce an exciting new change for 2010/2011. At our new relocated studio! The new facility is conveniently located on the side of Lincoln Square close to Swamp Daddy's and near Best Buy. Directly in the center of Arlington's Entertainment District, Lincoln Square is a lifestyle on the way to where everyone is going!

We are truly excited about this wonderful location with its tremendous opportunity for growth and development. We thank all our current students, families and faculty for your continued belief and faith in our program and your incredible loyalty. With Summer Intensive Program just around the corner the timing is just right for the rebirth of our exceptional school and company for its deserving students, faculty and supporters.

Our new mailing address is 768 Lincoln Square, Arlington, TX 76011. Please note that our phone numbers will not be changing as a result of this move. Keep watching front door and our website for more updated news.

Thank you all so much. We can't wait to see you all at your new dance home!

Thank you,
Payton Kerr, Administrative Assistant

The Academy is dedicated to quality teaching of classical ballet using the Russian Vaganova syllabus. Through its aim at precision, strength and agility, the Vaganova curriculum teaches students to dance with their whole bodies to achieve an expressive range. The Vaganova curriculum for beginning and intermediate students is expanded as the students advance to include the techniques advocated by Paul Mejia, a disciple of George Balanchine. Upon the completion of the Academy program and the mastery of the Academy syllabus the student is prepared for a professional career.

Of course not all students will go on to professional ballet careers. However, we believe that the focus, discipline, and determination of the ballet training offered at the Academy will benefit our students in any endeavor they choose. Our hope is that our students will develop a love of dance, music, and art that will last a lifetime.

We invite you to call us at 817-465-4644 for more information about the Academy and for specific information about placement. We are happy to make arrangements for prospective students to observe a class.
