Metropolitan Classical Ballet is pleased to announce that Liliya Aronov and Assaf Benchetrit, both Jewish nationals, have joined the company.

Ms.Aronov was born in the U.S.S.R. in 1985. In 2003, she completed her studies with the Rubin Academy for Music and Dance in Jerusalem. The receipient of several dance scholarships, she also studied at the Hora Jerusalem Folk Dance Company, Israel. In the US, she has has performed with the Eglevsky Ballet in Long Island, New York and more recently with the Joffrey School Dancers in New York.

Mr. Benchetrit was born in Jerusalem, Israel in the year 1980. He began his ballet studies at the Rubin Academy for Music and Dance in Jerusalem and graduated in 1998. He served two one-year internships with the Panov Ballet and the Israeli Ballet, and he then became a principal dancer with the Jerusalem Dance Theatre for two years. Since 2004 he has been a professional dancer with the Joffrey School Dancers, the Official Company of the Joffrey Ballet School in New York.
