MARIANNA
RYZHKINA
Honored Artist of Russia
Marianna Ryzhkina, Honored Artist of Russia, is a principal
dancer with the Bolshoi in Moscow. Marianna joined the Bolshoi Theatre
ballet troupe in 1989 upon graduating from the Moscow Academic Choreography
College (Elena Ryabinkinas class). She got her education at
the Ballet Staging Faculty of Moscow State Choreography Institute.
At the Bolshoi Theatre she worked with the remarkable choreographer-rehearser,
Peoples Artist of the USSR Raisa Stepanovna Struchkova,
now she works under the guidance of another Credited Artist of the
USSR Ekaterina Maksimova. With the Bolshoi Theatre troupe Marianna
has been on tours of America, Japan, England, Italy, Spain, Austria,
Germany, Brazil, Australia, Egypt, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia,
Greece, the Bermuda Islands etc.
Marianna
is the winner of the International Serg Lifar Competition of Ballet
Artists in Kiev, of the International competition of ballet artists
in Osaka (Japan), in 1998 she took part in the International J.
Gershvin Festival in Perelada (Spain), the laureate of Etoiles internationales
de la Danse (Paris, 2002). She also participated in the mounting
of ballet "Antigona (S. Bobrovs choreography) during
the International Arts Festival in Meride (Spain, 1997).
Marianna
was invited to and participated as a guest dancer in several Gala
concerts and performances with Metropolitan Classical Ballet, where
she has performed one of her latest premiere ballets Carmen-Suite
the choreography by Alonso in M. Plisetskayas reduction, and
Fading of a Rose.
Marianna
is the mother of two charming sons eleven and five years old.
